The Dream of a Young Pilot
ÎSince 2016, Temad has been the official sponsor of Brașov-based pilot Octavian Ciovică.
Octavian’s passion for hill climb racing began at the age of 6 when he attended the Brașov stage as a spectator with his father. From that moment, young Octavian never missed another stage.
He later debuted in professional rally racing in 2007, driving an Opel Kadett GSI in a hill climb event held at Rânca. Over the next few years, he participated in Tess Rally Brașov and other hill climb stages.
After a 5-year hiatus, Octavian returned to professional racing in 2015, entering a period of re-acclimatization. In 2016, he competed in all stages of the national hill climb championship, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 7 (500 HP) in Group H, finishing 15th in the Opel rankings.
The 2017 season was the best year of his career to date, as he became national vice-champion in Group A. That year, Octavian competed with a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X and later with a Skoda Fabia R5.
For 2018, Octavian’s objective was to win the National Champion title in Group N, competing in the championship behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX.
