For 20 years, we have been present in factories, on construction sites and in the homes of millions of people.
Temad celebrates in 2014, 20 years of activity. The event was celebrated together with representative clients of the company, during a festive Gala that took place on June 13 in Poiana Brașov.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
On behalf of the Temad team, thank you for being here today.
On its 20th anniversary, one could say that today’s event is about Temad. We believe that the event is about you, our customers. The evening is dedicated to you.
The trust you gave us was the basis of Temad development. Therefore, first of all, I want to thank you . For the years of working together, for the chance to demonstrate that we can respond promptly to requests and for the good relations of respect and understanding.
Two years ago, when I climbed the Himalayas again, I took a Temad flag with me. When we got to the top, I set it up for a document photo. I thought about you and my colleagues then. The passion for the mountain and the passion for Temad speak of the same experience. I’m talking about trying to reach the next base camp despite the difficulties.
I learned that on the mountain and in business it is essential to trust your hiking partners and respect each other’s contribution.
When he reached the top Everest, for the first time in the history of the world, Edmund Hillary invited the mountaineer Tenzing Norgay to take the first step to the top, in recognition of essential contribution to the success of the expedition.
Temad could not have developed without the dedication of the team. If our achievements, at 20 years, mean a step on a symbolic peak, the first to take this step is the team Temad.
Now, I remember with nostalgia our beginning in a modest space, with only 4 employees. We had started to distribute for strong brands: Bison, Griffon, Dupli-Color. Our first “carriers” were….nets. I will never forget that time.
How I will never forget what it means to be 27 years old, 2 children and nothing but the desire to build a chance for the family.
I didn’t know that we will manage to be a family of 220 people, as the Temad team has today. We didn’t know that together with our partners, we would manage to develop the company on a national level, in 14 subsidiaries.
What we did know was that the products we distributed were going to help someone to solve a problem: of comfort or safety.
This feeling – that all those customers who have to build, insulate, glue, paint something depend on us – was the engine of our entire development.
The thought of the 10 million people, who today use the products we distribute, represented the fuel for the road we traveled.
This is how we achieved the 50% growth of turnover from year to year, up to 25 million Euros in 2008.
After 2009 we felt the negative influences of the economic crisis: the decrease in purchasing power, the decrease in construction investments.
We still managed to maintain our turnover, always thinking of the customers who needed solutions. The market demanded a certain type of products and that’s how we ended up producing our own brands.
Then we approached new areas. Creating its own production centers was a priority in TEMAD’s development strategy. This is how the Temad Group of Companies came into being.
In 2012 we inaugurated the processing line for aluminum transition profiles and in 2013, we added a new brand: Termico – fiberglass mesh and other accessories for thermosystems.< br>Temad now covers not only the distribution of auxiliary products for construction and industry, but also the production of photovoltaic energy and the production of fiberglass mesh.
It is said that “History is written by the victors”. Together we overcame difficulties and developed.
We can claim together some lines in the history of this market. I know they will be about respect for a job well done, about partnership and passion.
Too often business has been associated with easy profit and false ideals.
Too little has been talked about intense work, about loyalty and respect. This is what I have learned over the past 20 years, from you, our partners and my colleagues. And for that, thank you, again.
I don’t feel comfortable in the position of drawing definitive conclusions. I discover something new every day. However, I gained a certainty. Working alongside you and the Temad team I know that no matter how troubled the times are, we will be able to keep our clarity and find the right direction.
I am lucky that I met you, I am glad that we are together today. We wish you many years of growth and a memorable anniversary evening.
