REQUIRED MATERIALS:
- Bison Rubber Seal–waterproofing based on rubber and polymers
- Bison Rubber Seal Textile Tape–reinforcing textile tape
- brush
- scissors
- marker/pencil
STEP BY STEP WORK PLAN
STEP 1 Remove, using a brush, any contamination (algae, moss, leaves, traces of oxidation) from the gutter. |
STEP 2Sand the welds, then make sure the surface to be repaired is dry and free of dust and grease. | STEP 3 Establish the section of gutter you wish to repair by marking its edges with a marker/pencil. Place the textile reinforcement tape < strong>Bison Rubber Seal Textile Tape over the leaking weld, leaving a few inches extra over the gutter, and cut to length with scissors. Set the cut textile tape aside. |
STEP 4 Mix the rubber and polymer waterproofing solution Bison Rubber Seal until you get an even color. |
STEP 5Using a paint brush, apply the first coat of Bison Rubber Seal over the leaking weld, up to the points already marked. |
STEP 6 Place the textile reinforcing tape over the first layer of Bison Rubber Seal and squeeze it until it is soaked in the solution. The fabric tape will create a bridge of resistance between the edges of the weld or gutter cracks. |
STEP 7 Cover the fabric tape with two more coats of Bison Rubber Seal, applied at least 10 minutes apart, thus providing a smooth finish. The 3 layers of Bison Rubber Seal and textile reinforcing tape ensure a required thickness of the final layer of at least 2 mm. | tr>
STEP 8Repeat this process on all sections with leaks due to holes and cracks in the gutter. Let it dry.Bison Rubber Seal dries and the dust no longer adheres after about 3 hours after application. After 48 hours, it is fully cured, depending on the amount applied and environmental conditions. Waterproofing with Bison Rubber Seal is resistant to the action of rain after 12 hours of application. |
