History

Our story

TEMAD celebrates 30 years of activity on the Romanian market. Over these 3 decades, several key moments have marked the company’s evolution.

1994

In 1994, TEMAD set out from a modest garage full of big dreams, with only four employees and a bold portfolio of international brands. The strategic partnership with the Bison brand - defined by quality and innovation, a leader in the adhesives and sealants segment paved the way to a new market in Romania.

1999

In 1999, TEMAD opened its first regional branch in Cluj, marking the beginning of the national expansion and the development of the portfolio with state-of-the-art products from renowned suppliers such as Dupli-Color and Ellen Flex. That year, the company surpassed the one million euro threshold in turnover, a proud moment for the team.

1999-2012

Since 1999, TEMAD opened branches in Timișoara, Constanța, Craiova, Buzău, Deva, Oradea, Baia Mare, Pitești, Bucharest, Sibiu and Piatra Neamț. This expansion led to an increase in the number of employees from 12 to 230. Also during this time, Temad launched its own brands Rino, Swordflex, Procolor, Protek, Stark Bohrer and Karro. and started cooperation with the internationally renowned brands Ductil, Klingspor, Mellerud, WD40, UHU and Motip.

2013

In 2013, TEMAD opened a processing line for aluminum pass profiles and introduced the private brand -Termico in its portfolio.

2016

We continue to diversify, and in 2016 our own brand Stark Fix - fastening systems, was added to the TEMAD portfolio.

2018

In 2018, Temad enters into a new strategic partnership with Vitex-Hermes, taking over the distribution of these brands' products in Romania.

2020

In an important step towards digitalization, TEMAD launches in 2020 the online shop econstrukt.ro. A platform allowing easy access to a wide range of products, ensuring fast deliveries and detailed information.

2022

In 2022, TEMAD expands its business into the PET FOOD market, adding 3 international brands to its product portfolio: Primal Spirit, HappyOne and EnergyPet, and developing a new sales division with properly equipped transportation and storage facilities.

2024

A new strategic partnership takes shape in 2024, when the Oregon brand is added to the product portfolio, marking the expansion of the distribution business into the forestry sector.

2025

Temad receives the Romania's Best Managed Companies certification. This distinction honors us and confirms our ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development.
