The Albert and Smiles Association has taken a pioneering role in developing a large-scale project that contributes to the better recovery and development of children with special needs, as well as facilitating their integration into society.
According to government statistics, over 1,500 children with various forms of disabilities and diagnoses of special needs are registered in Brașov County. However, the actual number may be much higher due to the lack of early diagnosis or parents’ refusal to acknowledge their child’s condition for personal or social integration reasons.
Based on personal experience, previously organized events, and feedback from parents of children with autism and specialists, the Albert and Smiles Association created Galeria Terapiilor—an online platform offering specific information to help develop the potential of children with special needs through tailored therapies and activities.
The platform:
- Supports the social integration of children with special needs.
- Organizes workshops featuring the latest developments in the field.
- Hosts live events with recognized specialists and individuals who share personal success stories in similar situations.
- Produces motivational podcasts and provides support for families with children with special needs.
