Brașov, Romania – TEMAD, one of the key players in the distribution market for construction, renovation, industrial, home, garden, automotive and forestry products, reports a solid financial performance in 2025, despite a challenging and highly competitive national economic environment. With a turnover exceeding EUR 52 million, the company recorded a 1.3% increase compared to the previous year (2024), demonstrating its ability to adapt and remain resilient amid significant macroeconomic pressures.

TEMAD’s growth comes in a year marked by high inflation and weakened domestic consumption in Romania. Annual inflation remained elevated throughout 2025, reaching approximately 9.7% at year-end, according to official data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) – one of the highest levels in the European Union. This situation negatively impacted consumers’ purchasing power and household buying behavior.

At the same time, statistical data indicate a decline in retail consumption, with retail sales falling by more than 4% each month in the second half of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, representing one of the steepest declines in the EU. These trends are concerning for the commercial sector as a whole and have placed considerable pressure on company performance.

In this challenging economic context, TEMAD’s turnover reflects not only stability, but also a well-defined business strategy capable of generating growth even as competitors strongly feel the slowdown in consumption.

  • Bison – further strengthened its leading position in the adhesives and sealants segment. The POLY MAX MS polymer adhesive range recorded a significant growth of approximately 20% in volume.
  • WD-40 – widely appreciated for its versatility and strong brand recognition in both industrial and household equipment maintenance.
  • Rino – recognized for its diverse range of polyurethane foams, delivered solid performance following a successful rebranding that increased brand recognition among both professional and DIY customers.
  • Vitex – home to some of the most well-known paints manufactured in Greece, consistently confirms product quality while continuously expanding its range with innovative solutions.
  • Mellerud – known for its premium cleaning solutions, saw growing demand among quality-conscious consumers.
  • Oregon – the undisputed global leader in guide bars and chains for chainsaws, a reference brand for professionals worldwide, continues to gain ground and visibility in Romania.
  • Kapro – its range of precision measuring tools benefited from the consolidation of construction, renovation and DIY projects.

In addition to these established brands, TEMAD continued to implement its portfolio diversification strategy by introducing and promoting new brands – Winnerflex, Bergdeck, Quickloader and Zika – which contributed significantly to strengthening overall turnover. These brands brought fresh momentum to TEMAD’s offering, complementing its range of innovative products and equipment for professionals.

At the same time, the company reaffirmed its commitment to long-term strategic partnerships, a notable example being the over 20-year collaboration with European Aerosols. This partnership supported the successful development of reference brands in the Romanian market such as Dupli-Color, Motip, Distein and Colormark, recognized for the consistent quality of their spray paints and innovation in technical sprays. This long-standing relationship reflects TEMAD’s approach focused on stability, trust and long-term performance, offering customers access to professional solutions tailored to both industrial and DIY needs.
