The investment, made through Madex – part of the Temad Group, will create the conditions for faster logistics services, improved product availability and the sustainable development of TEMAD CO SRL in the years ahead.
Over the past few years, TEMAD has grown steadily by expanding its brand portfolio, strengthening its nationwide presence and developing partnerships with more than 6,000 customers across Romania. At the same time, both the volume of products and the complexity of logistics operations have increased year after year.
In this context, the Temad Group, through its company Madex, is investing approximately EUR 12 million in a new logistics centre in Ghimbav, Brașov County. This investment marks a new stage in the company’s development and responds to a concrete need: creating a logistics facility designed for the scale of today’s business and the market requirements of tomorrow.
For Temad’s partners, this investment represents much more than a new warehouse. It means improved product availability, more efficient logistics processes, shorter response times and the company’s ability to support their long-term growth. In a market where speed and predictability have become just as important as portfolio diversity, investments in logistics are, in essence, investments in the quality of customer service.
“A company can only grow as long as its infrastructure allows it to grow. Over the past few years, we have consistently invested in people, brands, digitalisation and the development of relationships with our partners. Now we are investing in the foundation that will support all these efforts for decades to come. Throughout our history, we have always made decisions that enable us to build sustainably and with a long-term perspective. Today, we are not simply constructing a new building; we are preparing ourselves for the future and ensuring that we can provide our partners with services that reflect the trust they place in us. We believe that a company’s growth only has real value when it also contributes to the growth of those who develop alongside it,” said Florin Madar, Founder of the Temad Group.
The new logistics centre will be built in Ghimbav on a 22,198 sqm site and will have a total built area of more than 11,000 sqm. Approximately 2,000 sqm will be dedicated to offices and administrative facilities, while more than 9,000 sqm will be allocated to warehouse space. With a height of 12 metres, the warehouse will provide capacity for approximately 11,200 pallet locations, ensuring the space required to efficiently manage a continuously expanding product portfolio.
The facility will include 12 loading and unloading docks for heavy goods vehicles, two drive-in ramps, a modern warehouse management system (WMS Axes Software) and high-performance material handling equipment. The organisation of logistics flows and the digitalisation of processes will help reduce processing times, improve operational accuracy and ensure better product availability for the company’s partners.
The project also incorporates modern solutions for energy efficiency and responsible development, including NZEB and BREEAM certifications, heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, intelligent LED lighting, an ESFR fire suppression system, rainwater harvesting and infrastructure for electric vehicle charging.
“Beyond the scale of the investment and the integrated technology, the most important change will be the one experienced by our partners. In marketing, we often talk about the experience a brand delivers. In distribution, that experience begins with things that may seem invisible: the product is always available when the customer needs it, orders are prepared quickly, and deliveries are made on time and as expected. The new logistics centre is the investment through which we transform these expectations into operational standards and reinforce the promise Temad makes to its partners every day,” said Ana Maria Donosă, Marketing Manager at Temad.
The investment is being carried out by Madex, a company within the Temad Group. The construction contractor is Eren Cons, while the architectural design has been developed by BlokAD Arhitectura. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, with operations expected to begin in the first days of 2027. Approximately 35 employees will work at the new logistics centre.
For more than three decades, Temad’s development has been driven by timely and sustainable investments designed to support both the company’s growth and that of its partners. The new logistics centre in Ghimbav continues this direction and reflects the belief that continuous development only creates value when it generates mutual success.
